Philosophy: A Wellness Culture
Living at our optimal wellness, preventing disease and aging gracefully can only happen if we take an active role in our health. This is not done by following a specific weight loss diet or by joining a gym or even by taking a multivitamin every day. This happens when we begin to adopt behaviors and integrate them into our daily lives. You have to begin to see healthy choices as the sexy choice, the choice that you deserve.
To accomplish this we have to enter into a wellness culture. We have live our lives doing the things that serve our bodies and our souls. This begins by acknowledging that some of our habits are “frumpy”. Frumpy habits don’t do us any good in the short or long run. Many of these habits we picked up from our families or friends without knowing the harm it could lead to (i.e. diabetes, hypertension, obesity, depression). Now it is time to recognize the difference between what’s Sexy and what’s Not and integrating the Sexy habits in while weaving out the old frumpy ones.
There are several different approaches and theories on how to live a sexy and healthy life. If you have walked through the health section in a bookstore recently you would have noticed the hundreds of different books promoting some new health strategy. In general, most of these approaches can be helpful if you follow them. The reason this is the case is because healthy living is NOT a new or novel concept waiting for the next big discovery and most health books and websites will give some variation of some basic health principles
Eat more fruits and vegetables…
Eat fewer calories…
Exercise more…
Reduce your stress…
Avoid Toxins (tobacco, excessive alcohol etc.)…

Optimal Sexiness is an individual journey. There are some very important common factors that we can all adopt and benefit from and others that can be tailored to the individual person. Most people have specific health conditions that they want to address such as

What should I eat if I am a diabetic?
How can I prevent cancer?

The goal of adopting a healthy lifestyle is to address all of these concerns and more. Most chronic disease can be prevented by general health changes and if you follow these general recommendations the majority of your concerns will be addressed. In addition, many diseases that are prevalent in America can be avoided by simply stopping unhealthy and frumpy American habits. Just recognizing these habits is the beginning of finding your way to a sexier you, even if you don’t, for instance loose weight. There are some scenarios that do require special recommendations such as those with kidney disease or congestive heart failure. For these patients it is important that you consult with your physician about your personal restrictions. This website is to address the general interventions that we can all benefit from when living the sexiest you.
